How much hair will I need? The amount of hair you will need completely depends on each person's individual goals and starting point. If you have naturally fine hair, you may not need as many rows/ pieces of hair to make them look natural as someone with thick hair. At the end of the day, my goal is to make these extensions look like they were grown from your own head- whatever we need to do to make that happen, is what we do!
-
How much does the 1st install cost? The average investment for an initial extension install varies greatly from person to person because of the level of customization for each individual. For example: how many rows or pieces, how much hair, how many wefts on each row, and the length of the individual wefts themselves all affect the price. New installs include a beautiful full size aftercare kit, a digital PDF aftercare guide, the hair, and the labor. This is the largest investment you will make during the course of wearing extensions . After this, you will only pay for move ups and replace the hair as needed. If you would like more specifics, please fill out my digital consultation form.
-
How long will the hair last? This will completely depend upon what method we choose to utilize for your hair. For example, with weft extensions, the hair can last anywhere from 9-12 months if very well taken care of. This is completely based on the wearer. At your install appointment, I give you everything you need to take the best care possible and to get the most longevity out of your investment.
-
What methods of extensions do you offer?I am 5 (soon to be 6x) certified in multiple different types of extensions. This allows me to FULLY customize your extension experience to whatever is best for your hair, scalp, and lifestyle. The different methods that I use are: IBE (Invisible Bead Extensions- these are weft or beaded row extensions), Combline (this allows me to add hair directly into the part line and around our face), K-tips, and mesh topper extensions. To find out which method or combination would be best for you, fill out my virtual extension consultation form.
-
Will extensions make my hair fall out?The honest answer: they can: BUT, with proper installation and home care they are completely safe for your natural hair. That is why at your initial install appointment, I will be going over exactly how to care for your investment from start to finish. I also have a full PDF extension aftercare guide including everything from how to sleep to how to care for your extensions at the beach/ on vacation, emailed directly to you during your install appointment. Experience and knowledge are THE most important thing to look for in an extension artist. Issues due to incorrect installs can consist of: hair loss due to stress on the follicles, scalp redness and irritation, beads and hair falling out during wear, hair that has NOT been custom colored ->doesn't match, therefore shows during wear, and more. The photo on the left is a recent before picture of a situation that a dear client of mine was dealing with from another local salon before starting her journey with me.
-
Willl I have to wear extensions forever? Not unless you want to! Goals vary from person to person. Some people are wearing them just to grow out a haircut or severe damage, some people take them out temporarily for certain seasons, some people don't even like to take them out long enough for a move up and want to keep them forever. This entire extension thing is tailored. to. you.
-
What is maintenance like for extensions?Over time, your extensions will grow down with your natural hair. You will need to come in for "move ups". These appointments will need to be every 6-8 weeks depending on the individual.

What are wefts and rows?A weft is a single piece of hair made up of single strands, woven together to create a whole piece similar to a clip in weft, except a much more dainty and discreet. I am able to take these and stack them together on a row of beads to create density based on the needs of the client. A row is a series of beads installed horizontally around the head from one side to the other. This is the foundation of the extension installation and where the wefts are sown onto.
